Learning Objective
Participants should be better able to define the rationale behind guideline recommendations for aggressive antihypertensive therapy in patients with stage 2 hypertension and at-risk patients, and describe the benefits of a multidrug regimen that includes a renin angiotensin system blocker to effectively control blood pressure, reduce cardiovascular risk, and potentially confer clinical benefits beyond blood pressure lowering.
