An international team of scientists observed an association between insulin sensitivity, brain size and language skills in seniors.

A review of 12 studies concluded that type 2 diabetics who do not require insulin do not benefit much from glucose monitoring, according to researchers from the Vrije Universiteit University Medical Center in Amsterdam.

Researchers from the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit discovered that diabetic women who have trouble managing their condition may experience worse hearing loss than those who can control their blood sugar.
