Researchers from Ohio State University discovered that oral human papillomavirus (HPV) infections are more common among men than women, a trend that is likely due to sexual activity.

An observational study of more than 189,000 female patients who were inoculated for the human papillomavirus (HPV) demonstrated that Gardasil does not induce any of 16 autoimmune diseases, according to researchers from Kaiser Permanente.

Researchers from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine discovered that hepatitis C viruses (HCV) require NPC1L1, a well-studied cholesterol receptor in human liver cells, to enter and infect host cells.
