7/23/2010 - CDC: Very rare fungus should be on physicians' radar
Officials with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a report on Thursday to alert physicians in the Pacific Northwest of a rare airborne fungus, known as Cryptococcus gattii, which has resulted in 15 deaths in the area over the last six years.
