Presented in collaboration with the American Diabetes Association, Diabetes In Depth is a unique, 1-day CME program focused on diabetes management and the associated cardiometabolic risks.
• Recognize the early signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and make a provisional diagnosis. • Differentiate the signs and symptoms of RA from other rheumatoid disorders.
Participants should be able to discuss the pathophysiology and management of type 2 diabetes, including updates on incretin hormones and combination therapies; and identify 2 newer approaches to achieve long-term glycemic control and A1c targeted goals in type 2 diabetic patients.
Participants should be able to identify the risk factors for venous thromboembolism (VTE) in hospitalized medical patients and outline recommended prophylactic strategies for VTE in at-risk medical patients.
Participants should be able to highlight at least 2 key points of the information presented in this activity and discuss the applicability of these findings to clinical practice.
Participants should be able to review primary care management of renal disease and congestive heart failure in a patient with type 2 diabetes; and describe appropriate drug therapy for type 2 diabetes in the context of multiple comorbidities.
