Program Objectives

Attend this continuing medical education activity and you will be able to:

  • Assess treatment strategies and how to implement patient specific directed therapies.
  • Analyze the methods and role of intensive glycemic control through early intervention and treatment advancement.
  • Address multi-factorial cardiovascular risk in the patient with diabetes, and strategies to manage cardiometabolic risk factors.
  • Incorporate essential clinical management tools, including self-monitoring of blood glucose, medical nutritional therapy, and patient education.
  • Explore emerging and new perspectives in the treatment of diabetes.
