Biography

Dr. Kathryn Agarwal, a board certified geriatrician, serves as a Delirium Content Expert for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) Delirium Grant at Houston Methodist Hospital System. Dr. Agarwal has focused her career on the development and implementation of multidisciplinary patient care programs for hospitalized elders and clinical-education in geriatric medicine. Dr. Agarwal has been at BCM in Section of Geriatrics since 2008. Dr. Agarwal is also the Medical Director for the Acute Care for the Elderly Unit at Park Plaza Hospital and works in a geriatrics consultation role at Ben Taub General Hospital in Harris Health System. Dr. Agarwal completed her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in 1997, as well as her Internal Medicine Residency training in 2000. She completed her fellowship in Geriatric Medicine in 2003 at Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
