Biography

Dr. Ahmed graduated from Punjab University, Lahore Pakistan in 1988, then went to England, UK, did MRCP, came to United States, did an internship at SUNY AT Buffalo, Residency at UCONN, Connecticut, and Chief residency at Brown. He did two endocrine fellowships, at Duke University and University of Wisconsin at Madison. He also did chief residency and an investigator preparatory fellowship as well. He joined the Endocrine department at Thomas Jefferson University in 2002 and is currently Program Director for the Fellowship and Professor of Medicine. He has published many articles in peer reviewed journals. He is a national and international speaker on the subject of diabetes, thyroid, and osteoporosis. He is conducting multiple clinical trials in the field of diabetes.
