Biography

Dr Baracco is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He is also a Senior Associate for Infectious Diseases and Infection Control for the National Center for Occupational Health and Infection Control of the Veteran’s Health Administration’s Office of Public Health; he is a physician in the Infectious Disease Section and serves as the Hospital Epidemiologist and Medical Director of the Infection Control program of the Miami VA Healthcare System. He has lectured at many regional, national, and international forums. His main interests are in hospital epidemiology, medical education, and antimicrobial resistance, as well as general infectious diseases.
