Biography

Vasilios Chrisostomidis, DO, is an assistant professor of the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA. He graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and pursued his family medicine residency at the University of Massachusetts. Dr. Chrisostomidis completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Massachusetts. He is board certified in family medicine with a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine. Dr. Chrisostomidis has been working as a primary care doctor at the University of Massachusetts since 2007, having previously worked at community health centers in underserved areas in Worcester, as well as Fitchburg. Dr. Chrisostomidis is also part of the sports medicine faculty at the University of Massachusetts entrusted with the training of medical students, as well as residents and fellows. In addition, he serves as the vice-president of the Massachusetts Osteopathic Society, having served as a board member for a number of years prior to ascending to that position. Additionally he serves on the planning committee for regional osteopathic medical conferences. Professional interests include sports medicine, musculoskeletal medicine, and osteopathic manipulative medicine.
