Biography

Dr. Yvonne Chu is an associate professor of ophthalmology at the Cullen Eye Institute, Baylor College of Medicine. She received her medical degree and completed ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine. She joined the faculty and was promoted to chief of Ophthalmology Service at Ben Taub Hospital in July 2003. She practiced comprehensive ophthalmology for seven years before returning for additional post graduate training and completed a one year glaucoma fellowship at the Devers Eye Institute and Case Eye Institute of Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. Since returning to Baylor in 2011, she continues to serve as the chief of Ophthalmology at Ben Taub Hospital, and she now specializes in the medical and surgical treatment for glaucoma and cataract surgery combined with glaucoma interventions, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) in adults.
