Sam Dagogo-Jack, MD, is Professor of Medicine and Director, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis, TN. He graduated from the University of Ibadan Medical School in Nigeria, completed residency at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, University of Newcastle, UK, and fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Washington University School of Medicine, St Louis, MO. He is board-certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and active in diabetes research, having published more than 400 articles and scientific abstracts. His current research focuses on the interaction of genetic and environmental factors in the prediction, and prevention of diabetes and pre-diabetes.
