Biography

After completing medical school at Harvard, Dr. Christopher Fanta did his internship, residency, and fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. He then joined the faculty in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at what had become the Brigham and Women's Hospital. He directs Partners Asthma Center, a collaboration of allergists and pulmonologists at several hospitals in the Partners HealthCare System, including Brigham and Women's and Massachusetts General Hospitals. His major clinical interest is in airway diseases, including asthma and COPD. He has co-authored the Harvard Medical School Guide to Taking Control of Asthma and the Asthma Educators' Handbook.
