Biography

Dr. Ghassemi is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Digestive Diseases at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is the Associate Director of Clinical Programs for the Center for Esophageal Disorders. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science UCLA, he obtained his medical degree at the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine. He then returned to UCLA to complete his Internal Medicine residency and Digestive Diseases fellowship. Dr. Ghassemi has co-authored manuscripts, book chapters, and abstracts on gastrointestinal bleeding and swallowing disorders, and has given numerous presentations on upper and lower gastrointestinal disorders. He is a member of the UCLA Colorectal Cancer Treatment Program. He is also the chair of the Endoscopic Training Committee for the UCLA Digestive Diseases Fellowship.
