Dr. Goldberg obtained his undergraduate in behavioral science degree from the University of Chicago, followed by graduate school in neuroscience at the University of Illinois and medical school at Northwestern University, then a residency in psychiatry and psychopharmacology research fellowship at the Payne Whitney Clinic of New York Hospital. He is presently Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. Dr. Goldberg's research career has focused on the psychopharmacology and outcomes of mood disorders. He has authored or co-authored over 180 peer reviewed publications and 4 books related to psychopharmacology and mood disorders. He serves on the board of directors of the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology and has long been listed by Castle Connelly as one of the America's Top Doctors.
