Biography

Dr. Gussak lives and practices in Worcester Massachusetts where she is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine. She sees patients and teaches in a multi-cultural, federally funded community health center that is home to one of the University of Massachusetts’ Family Medicine residency programs. Dr. Gussak is active in teaching and mentoring residents and medical students at all stages of training. Her academic interests include learners in difficulty, professional coaching, and advanced communication skills. Her clinical practice focuses on women’s health and perinatal services. She is part of a multidisciplinary obstetrical team based at her health center. She continues to deliver babies and make rounds on post-partum and newborn patients. Dr. Gussak is married and has three children and one dog that she and her family brought home from Nicaragua. Her hobbies include exercise, walking in the woods, travel, photography, discovering new restaurants, and taking advantage of every opportunity offered to visit thrift stores and flea markets.
