Biography

Dr. Alice Mao is Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Mao has been honored for her educational contributions by receiving the Fulbright and Jaworski Award for Teaching and Education in 2011 and the Baylor Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Teaching Award for outstanding Faculty Teacher in 2014. She is a highly sought-after lecturer at national professional meetings for her ability to integrate information regarding pharmacological and psychological interventions for child and adolescent psychiatric disorder and their families. She has participated as a multisite co-investigator for numerous psychopharmacology trials for treatments for ADHD, Autism and Bipolar Disorder. In addition, she is the Co-chair of the Consumer Issues Committee of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and is serving on the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Exam Steering committee for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
