Biography

Lenore F Soglin, M.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine at Northwestern Medicine. She has a particular interest in identifying victims of intimate partner violence (IPV) in medical settings and in South Asian immigrant populations. Dr. Soglin is a published author on IPV and has given numerous lectures and workshops on the subject over the past 15 years. Dr. Soglin founded free medical clinics at the Evanston Battered Women’s Shelter and at Apna Ghar Battered Women’s Shelter in Chicago. She is founder of the Namaste Medical Fund, a not-for-profit corporation assisting volunteer medical care for victims of IPV.
