Biography

Dr. Gloria Yeh is Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS), Director of Mind-Body Research in the Division of General Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), Director of Clinical Research at the Osher Center for Integrative Health jointly based at HMS and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), and Director of the NIH-funded T32 post-doctoral Research Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at HMS. She is a faculty physician in primary care at Healthcare Associates at BIDMC, and has been involved in the development of integrative care clinics at both BIDMC and BWH. As a clinician investigator, Dr. Yeh is recognized internationally in the field of integrative medicine, with expertise in clinical trial methodology of mind-body studies, including psychosocial and physiological outcome measurement, and intervention development for chronic disease populations. Most recent work has investigated the active components of multi-modal mind-body interventions, utilizing movement-based interventions such as Tai Chi to impact positive behavior change and physical activity in chronic cardiovascular and pulmonary populations, and leveraging wearable technology and virtual platforms to increase patient access. Her mind-body research has also spanned investigations in depression, obesity, insomnia, chronic pain, cancer, and multiple cardiovascular and at-risk populations. She is also Vice Chair of the leading national organization, the Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine and Health, and has served on the NIH’s National Advisory Council for Complementary and Integrative Health.
