For over 12 years, Pri-Med Conference & Exhibition events have provided unprecedented access to those individuals blazing new pathways to better patient care. Pri-Med Conference & Exhibition was created to provide physicians like you with a more convenient, more concise, more cost-effective alternative for enhanced learning and CME credits. Its 4 distinct programs let you choose the best approach to benefit your patients, your practice, and your schedule. We offer a diverse spectrum of learning opportunities in one place, including Current Clinical Issues in Primary Care lectures, Practice Solutions sessions, Industry-Supported Symposia, and an interactive Exhibit Hall.

Current Clinical Issues in Primary Care

The core three-day program is developed and presented by nationally-recognized faculty from Harvard Medical School and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Grouped into concurrent morning and afternoon  sessions, the program offers over 50 clinical lectures addressing challenges faced by primary care practitioners today. Enjoy the freedom of attending any lecture you choose over the three days of the course, while earning up to 17 AMA category 1 creditsTM.

Course Objectives
After completing the Harvard Medical School course, attendees will be better able to:

  • Diagnose and manage common conditions in effective and efficient ways that improve outcomes for patients.
  • Evaluate the evidence behind new guidelines and recommendations.
  • Enhance communication techniques to increase patient satisfaction and adherence to treatment.

Practice Solutions

Pri-Med introduces Practice Solutions - Integrating Technology to Enhance Patient and Practice Management. Two days of cutting edge education developed by Physicians Practice, America's Leading Practice Management Journal, focusing on technology, practice management, patient care and more. The program, sponsored by Pri-Med Institute, addresses your needs as healthcare professionals to receive information, resources and education in the areas of technology and practice-based approaches and solutions.

Program Objectives
After completing Practice Solutions, attendees will be better able to:

  • Identify at least three technologies that may be used by clinicians to improve patient outcomes.
  • Describe how technology-based solutions can positively impact patient safety, cost of delivering care, and clinician efficiency.

Earn additional CME credit at Industry-Supported Symposia

Symposia are available to registered Pri-Med Conference & Exhibition attendees at no additional charge. Sessions have limited seating availability and pre-registration for each symposium is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Download the Symposia Guidebook (PDF format).

Arrive one day early and earn additional CME credit! Due to the increased demand for industry supported symposia, a full day dedicated exclusively to symposia has been added to the schedule. The Pre-Conference Symposia Day takes place Wednesday, December 3rd - one day prior to the opening of the Conference & Exhibition. Come early, earn CME, and avoid the opening day registration lines!

How do I receive credit?

Each Pri-Med Registrant will receive a scancard which is encoded with your name, address and professional discipline. To obtain credit for Current Clinical Issues in Primary Care, you will need to scan this card at each session you attend throughout Pri-Med. Scanners will be placed at the entrance of each session room. Credit hours earned will be online at www.pri-med.com approximately 4 weeks after the close of show by the accrediting institution.

You will receive an individual CME certificate from each Industry-Supported Symposium you attend. Please note that these credit hours will be posted separately from your certificate for the Harvard Medical School/Johns Hopkins course.

You may view and print your CME certificates online at www.pri-med.com.

New--Electronic Syllabi for Pri-Med Mid-Atlantic 2008

In an effort to maximize efficiency for you and help the environment, Pri-Med will be moving to a “paperless” format. The complete conference syllabus will now be available online several weeks prior to the event for you to review and print at your convenience. You will receive an email to notify you once the syllabus is posted and available for you to view. Upon arriving at the convention center, you will receive an Attendee Bag containing the On-site Directory at the Badge Holder Pick-up counters. This Directory contains brief descriptions of all the sessions as well as times and room locations to guide you through the conference. We look forward to seeing you in Baltimore in December!
