Mobilizing for Health Equity: Practical Strategies for Clinical Care

Despite innovations in medicine and healthcare, racial health inequities have not only persisted, but have worsened over the last few decades. It is vital that primary care providers have a thorough understanding of the fundamental causes of these health inequities and act urgently to close these gaps. In Mobilizing for Health Equity, participants will learn about structural racism as a fundamental driver and structural determinant of health inequities in the United States as well as the related concept of structural competency for health professionals. Participants will also be introduced to antiracist and structurally competent strategies to advance health equity.
