Overview

Psoriasis affects 3.2% of the adult US population (approx. 7.4 million people), with the highest prevalence among Caucasians. Patients with psoriasis often experience profound negative impacts on their quality of life. In this case study, April Armstrong, MD, MPH, discusses how to incorporate shared decision-making into the treatment of psoriasis to improve patient outcomes.
