Eamon Armstrong

Biography

Dr. Armstrong, an expert on evidence-based medicine and Internet research, is a staff physician in the area of student health at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. From 2000 to 2004, he was on the faculty of the Lehigh Valley Family Practice Residency Program, Allentown, PA, and was an Assistant Clinical Professor at Penn State College of Medicine. In that position, he taught residents how to find patient-focused EBM studies at the point of care. Born in South Africa, Dr. Armstrong received his medical training at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. He's a graduate of the University of Rochester/Highland Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in Rochester, NY. On the completion of his residency, Dr. Armstrong joined the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Armstrong has given numerous presentations and workshops on how to improve care by integrating evidence into practice.
