Biography

Ali R. Assefi graduated from the University of London School of Medicine. He did his post graduate training at The University of London and Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Assefi is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. Dr. Assefi is President and Managing Partner with Nephrology Associates of Northern Virginia, Inc., a multi-physician practice in the suburbs of Washington, DC. Dr. Assefi is the Medical Director of multiple dialysis units in Northern Virginia. Dr. Assefi is actively involved in medical education and research in various aspects of kidney disease. Dr. Assefi has been mentioned as a Top Physician in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area consecutively since 1992.
