Biography

Dr. Blaha, presently serves as the Director of Clinical Research for the Johns Hopkins Ciccarone Center for the Prevention of Heart Disease. In additional to membership on the Endocrinologic and Metabolic Drug Advisory Committee (EMDAC) for the FDA, he has received multiple grant awards from the NIH, FDA, American Heart Association, Amgen Foundation, and the Aetna Foundation. Clinically, he practices as a preventive cardiologist and in the interpretation of cardiac CT. He loves mentoring and was the recipient of the 2018 Fred Brancati award for outstanding mentoring at Johns Hopkins.
