Dr. Branch is Assistant Professor in Cardiology at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. Dr. Branch has been part of the UWMC faculty since 2004 and his research focus is in advanced cardiac imaging and clinical trials. He also obtained a Master’s degree in Epidemiology and Clinical Trials at the University of Washington. He is the current Medical Director of the Coronary Care Unit and General Inpatient Cardiology as well as the Associate Director of the Clinical Trials Service Unit at the University of Washington. Dr. Branch's recent awards include the Cardiology Teaching Excellence Award, the University of Washington School of Medicine Outstanding Continuing Medical Education Teacher, and the American College of Cardiology Emerging Faculty. His most recent research has been focused on cardiac imaging and he is one of the US co-coordinators for the COMPASS trial using rivaroxaban in patients with stable atherosclerosis. Dr. Branch’s research support includes a National Institute of Health KL2 Mentored Training Grant. He has been a lecturer at many national and international meetings. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology
