Biography

David B. Conley, MD is an associate professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He also attends at the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County. Dr. Conley is the director of the Northwestern Academic Rhinology Fellowship and the clinical practice director of the Northwestern Medicine Otolaryngology Practice. He obtained his MD at the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine and completed residency at Northwestern University in Otolarynogology and subsequently a P33 NIH fellowship in basic science research at the Robert H. Lurie comprehensive cancer center at Northwestern. Dr. Conley’s academic focus is in improved diagnosis, improved medical and surgical treatments, and translational research to advance therapeutic options available to patients with chronic rhinosinusitis. He is a founding member of the Northwestern Allergy and Sinus Center which is a comprehensive program of translational basic research in mucosal inflammation of the paranasal sinuses derived from a multidisciplinary clinical team. This interdepartmental research group focuses on the innate and adaptive immunity and epithelial cell dysfunction in chronic sinusitis. The group also participates in clinical research trials and clinical outcomes studies. Dr. Conley has been a member of several American Rhinologic Society committees and is presently a member of the American College of Radiology Appropriateness Use committee. He has spoken worldwide at numerous European Rhinologic Society Meetings and International Rhinologic Society Meetings.
