Biography

Robert G. Feldman, MD, is a private practice physician in Laguna Hills, California, as well as Principal Investigator and Medical Director of Senior Clinical Trials, Inc. Dr. Feldman received his medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York. He then completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia. Board-certified in Internal Medicine with added qualifications in Geriatric Medicine, Dr. Feldman is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry. He is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the International Society for Clinical Densitometry, the National Osteoporosis Foundation, the American Geriatrics Society, and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Feldman serves as a primary care physician for more than 700 seniors. Additionally, he is Principal Investigator for a research group and has a consultative practice focusing on diseases common in seniors such as Alzheimer's disease and osteoporosis. The goal of his practice is to preserve the independence and quality of life of the patients he serves. He has coauthored several publications on those topics and has frequently served as a consultant and advisor to pharmaceutical companies and nonprofit organizations. He has participated as a regional and national speaker on a variety of topics in geriatric medicine for more than a decade. His areas of expertise include the recognition and management of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, the use of DEXA in the diagnosis of osteoporosis, and the management of postmenopausal osteoporosis. He has been a featured speaker for a national audioconference series on management of postmenopausal osteoporosis, herpes zoster and postherpetic neuralgia, and Alzheimer's disease.
