Biography

Dr. Joslyn W. Fisher graduated from Tufts University with a BA in political science and a certificate in community health. She completed medical school and residency training at Baylor College of Medicine and received her MPH at the University of Texas School of Public Health. She is associate professor of medicine and medical ethics at Baylor College of Medicine and vice chair of Faculty and Staff Development in the Department of Medicine. Her academic focus is on women’s health and in particular interpersonal violence. She established a clinic for survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault within Harris Health System (the local public health system) in Houston, TX.
