Biography

Christine Frissora, MD, is an associate professor of clinical medicine in the division of gastroenterology and hepatology and president of the Office of Women in Medicine and Science at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, New York, NY. Dr Frissora earned her medical degree at Cornell University and completed her residency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Dr Frissora is a clinical investigator and expert in irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and she specializes in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders in women. Dr Frissora is a member of the Women’s Health Committee of the American Medical Women’s Association. Dr Frissora has lectured extensively on IBS and related gastrointestinal disorders. Dr Frissora has chaired and developed national courses about IBS and has been published in various medical journals.
