Biography

Dr. Hladik is the D.J. Thurston Distinguished Professor of Medicine at the University of North Carolina Kidney Center. There he directs the nephrology training program. He also serves as medical director for the acute dialysis program at UNC Hospitals. Nationally he serves as Education Director for Maintenance of Certification for the American Society of Nephrology. In this role he serves as coeditor of the Nephrology Self-Assessment Program (NephSAP) as well as the Kidney Self-Assessment Program (KSAP). Dr. Hladik contributed to the American College of Physician’s Nephrology Medical Knowledge Self-Assessment Program (MKSAP) 14 and 15, and was editor of Nephrology MKSAP 16.
