Biography

Dr. Klausner is an internationally recognized expert in HIV and sexually transmitted diseases. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He was the Director of the San Francisco Department of Public Health STD Prevention program 1998-2010 and Medical Director of San Francisco City STD Clinic 1998-2006. He is the senior editor of the Current STD Diagnosis and Management textbook, McGraw-Hill. He has published over 500 articles on STD epidemiology, prevention, control and clinical management. He is an advisor to the U.S. CDC and WHO on STD-related issues. He is co-author of the new e-book "Sex, Lies and STDs: The Must Read Before You Swipe Right." Dr. Klausner maintains a busy clinical practice and leads several clinical trials in STD management.
