Biography

Mark Powicki received his Bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire where he excelled in football as an offensive lineman. He later obtained his Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. He became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). In 2006, he obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. Mark's history in Physical Therapy has enabled him to gain a great deal of experience in successfully rehabilitating and training a variety of diagnoses and patients. His ability to achieve functional gains with complex orthopaedic and spine patients to highly skilled athletes earned him the 2005 Award for Achievement in Clinical Practice from the MA APTA. Mark co-authored "Sculpting the Complete Athlete for the New Millennium," an internet course for physical therapists, athletic trainers, strength and conditioning professionals and coaches. He has lectured to other healthcare professionals, athletes, and coaches on injury prevention, strength and conditioning and achieving maximum athletic performance. He has served as a sport specific consultant to various high school and college athletes/teams.
