Biography

Dr. Raghavan is a nephrologist in Houston, TX. He is a nationally recognized educational leader. He is an invited member of educational work-groups at the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) and Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). He directs the nephrology fellowship training program and renal pathophysiology course at BCM. His educational innovations have ben showcased at the ASN and MedEdPortal. Dr. Raghavan is also an international expert on the policies affecting health care for undocumented patients with kidney disease. His research demonstrates that the care of dialysis-dependent non-citizens in this country is associated with increased costs and worse outcomes for both patients and providers.
