Biography

Sharon R. Rosenberg, MD, MS is an associate professor at the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Rosenberg’s clinical practice is centered on providing comprehensive care to patients living with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) across all stages of severity. She directs the multidisciplinary Northwestern Asthma and COPD Program which includes pulmonologists, allergists, interventional pulmonologists, and thoracic surgeons who work together to formulate comprehensive therapeutic plans for patients with obstructive lung disease including advanced therapies such as lung volume reduction, targeted biologic therapies for asthma, and lung transplantation for advanced COPD. Dr. Rosenberg’s research focuses on clinical and translational asthma and COPD, with emphasis on clinical trials, novel asthma therapies, and novel COPD therapies. She has led studies focusing on novel biologic agents for asthma, participated in the NIH-sponsored AsthmaNet, a multi-center asthma clinical trials consortium, and the Precision Intervention in Severe/Exacerbating Asthma (PRECISE) network. Dr. Rosenberg also participates in the Airways Clinical Research Centers (ACRC) Network in addition to novel trials investigating bronchoscopic lung volume reduction and other COPD therapies.
