Biography

Christopher Salgado completed his undergraduate degree at Boston University, medical degree and General Surgery residency at Georgetown University and plastic surgery at the University of Rochester in NY. He then went on to serve in the U.S. Army as a plastic surgeon and then did a microvascular surgery fellowship in Taiwan. He has authored over 100 articles in the peer reviewed journals, written multiple book chapters, authored three books, and is the Medical Director of the LGBTQ Center for Wellness, Gender, and Sexual Health at the University of Miami working also at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the Miami V.A. He has been in practice for 17 years and has focused on the care of gender patients for the past 8 years.
