Exercise Prescription for 2021


One of our most important health behaviors is physically activity. There are myriad benefits to getting adequate exercise but most of the population (including health care professionals) do not achieve adequate cardiovascular and resistance training. Come to this 45-minute session to assess your physical activity levels, participate in a brief, in-room exercise session, and learn the rudiments of exercise counseling and prescription.

Learning Objectives

Define Lifestyle Medicine and its contribution to addressing chronic disease

Cite the US Physical Activity Guidelines for cardiovascular physical activity

Write a rudimentary Exercise Prescription

Distinguish vigorous, moderate, and light intensity exercise
