Clinicians’ lack of obesity management knowledge may foil optimal treatment. This activity incorporates a “Man-on-the-Street” video to increase clinician awareness of patient perspectives on obesity. Evidence-based and expert recommendations on talking with patients about obesity, therapeutic options—particularly pharmacotherapy—and means to address obstacles in long-term management will be presented.

Learning Objectives

  • Evaluate the role of weight-loss pharmacotherapy in individualized obesity treatment plans
  • Identify approaches for addressing obstacles and adjusting therapy in the long-term management of obesity
