Paul Tomasic, MD, FACP, FACE

Dr. Paul Tomasic is a Cardiovascular & Metabolic Disease Field Physician with AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals.  Prior to joining AstraZeneca in October 2018 he practiced as an endocrinologist with HealthCare Partners in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He received his medical doctorate from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine, in Bethesda, Maryland.  He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Naval Hospital, San Diego, California and his fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.  Dr. Tomasic has a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems and a Certificate as an Information Systems Analyst from Bowie State University in association with the University of Maryland University College, European Division.  He has a Professional Certificate in Business Management with an emphasis in Enterprise Development from UC San Diego Extension.

Dr. Tomasic is ABIM Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology.  Past faculty appointments include Assistant Professor of Medicine with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland and Clinical Faculty Supervisor with Touro University in Henderson, Nevada.  He is a Past President of the Nevada Chapter of AACE (American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists) and a Past President of the Nevada Chapter of the Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS).  He has served as Chair of the IT Advisory Group and the Digital Strategy Workgroup of national AACE.  He has served on the AACEPAC Board of Directors and as a member of the Legislative and Regulatory Committee of AACE.  He presently serves as a founding board member of the Nevada Clinical Endocrinologists Association (successor organization of the Nevada Chapter of AACE).
