Bridging the Gap with Dr. Hall: Patient-Centered Clinical Care of African Americans: Disparities in Stress, Mental Illnesses, and Pain Management
This session will provide an overview of the health disparities related to post-pandemic stress, anxiety, and depression. Because of lower vaccine uptake in communities of color, many are remaining isolated and aloof. We will also look at the demographics of mental illnesses across races/ethnicities as well as look at perspectives on the differences noted. Finally, approaches to pain management difficulties in communities of color will be reviewed.
