Biography

Tara Vijayan is an associate professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the David Geffen School of Medicine. She serves as the medical director of antimicrobial stewardship for UCLA Health and is the associate director of the scientific foundations of medicine in the new SOM curriculum. In addition, she serves as director for the medical education pathway for the UCLA ID fellowship, co-director of the health equity pathway for internal medicine residents and is on the EDI advisory board for the department of medicine. She has received a number of teaching awards and has published several articles on social determinants of health and health inequity in infectious diseases.
