Biography
Dr. Carrese is Associate Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is also Director, and Blaustein Scholar, of the Program on Ethics in Clinical Practice at the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics. Dr. Carrese's primary scholarly focus is to conduct empirical research and teach about the ethical issues encountered in everyday clinical practice. He is particularly interested in ethical issues associated with cultural diversity. Dr. Carrese is Chair of the Ethics Committee at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, and he is Vice-Chair of one of the Institutional Review Boards at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
