Biography

I spent my entire childhood on a ball field. I continued my athletic journey to college where I was a 2 sport NCAA athlete and helped my college lacrosse team to a national final four appearance. My current clinical interests are largely in the realm of interventional cardiology including percutaneous complex, high risk coronary and structural heart disease intervention. Academically, I am heavily involved in medical education and currently serve as a co-course director for the first-year medical students cardiovascular disease organ system module. My days are spent with the interventional and general cardiology fellows teaching cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography and intervention. With my sports background and passion for education, the topic of screening young athletes for cardiovascular disease and their risk of sudden death is a topic very close to my heart.
