Overview

It is challenging to keep up with newly FDA approved drugs and to learn which ones may have an important role in primary care. In this lecture, Dr. Smetana will provide balanced evidence on several newly approved drugs. You will learn which ones may change your practice and how new drugs compare with existing therapies in terms of efficacy and safety profile.

  • Evaluate the clinical evidence, safety profiles, and prescribing considerations of these agents
  • Apply practical strategies for initiating or switching to newer therapies in appropriate patient populations
