Biography

As I navigate my journey as a Nephrologist with expertise in hemodialysis, renal transplantation, diabetic kidney disease, and glomerulonephritis at Baylor, providing quality collaborative patient care with a special emphasis on patient safety and quality initiatives has been my focus. While working through different clinical settings I have appreciated the importance of quality improvement and patient safety initiatives and the impact they have on patient outcomes aside from the clinical interventions, and hence I have been an active member of Quality committees with Baylor Medicine and Harris Health. These have been the channels for me to positively impact the system-based practices and aligning the clinical care with the core values and mission of the college. I strive for comprehensive multidisciplinary collaborative care for my patients and am motivated to improve workflows and have engaged in the development of new clinical pathways to provide better patient care as well as increased referrals and business development for multiple departments at BCM. This inspired me to get involved with this project initiated by Center of Precision Medicine at BCM to improve screening rates and quality outcomes of patients with primary aldosteronism.
