Biography
Dr. A-Rahim is the Chief Medical Officer for Covenant Surgical Partners, Inc., a national physician services company that owns and operates 42 healthcare facilities including ambulatory surgery centers, anesthesia companies, anatomic pathology labs, and physician practices across 20 states. In 2017, Dr. A-Rahim was named a “Leader to Know” by Becker’s ASC Review (No. 1 ASC/Health care publication in US.) Dr. A-Rahim pioneered and directed the development of gastrointestinal therapeutics at Pali Momi Medical Center, a hospital which is now the most sought out gastroenterology tertiary referral center in Hawaii. In 2008, Dr. A-Rahim founded his first company, Pacific Endoscopy Center, an ambulatory surgery center in Pearl City, Hawaii. Pacific Endoscopy Center has since grown into four centers and become the dominant provider of gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures in the state of Hawaii. Dr. A-Rahim practices gastroenterology part time in Hawaii and at the VA Hospital in West Roxbury, MA. In addition to clinical and executive responsibilities, Dr. A-Rahim is also a Lecturer in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He has delivered presentations to fellow physicians around the country and internationally, authored many scientific articles published in peer-reviewed medical journals, and written many articles about gastrointestinal health and wellness.
