Biography

Dr. Baldor graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester. He is a Professor and the Founding Family Medicine Department Chair at the UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate. He has served as the UMass Director of Community Based Education, UMass Medical Director for the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Developmental Disabilities Evaluation and Research Center and as the Meyers Primary Care Institute Director of Health Policy Education. Dr. Baldor chaired the UMass Educational Policy Committee, helping to lead a major post-Flexner medical education reform effort. He is a Past-president of the Massachusetts Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Baldor has published in the Journal of Family Practice, Family Medicine Review, and the Journal of Clinical Outcomes. He is the editor for The Family Medicine Board Review Book and an assistant editor for the 5-Minute Clinical Consult. He lectures nationally and internationally on evidenced-based family medicine.
