Biography

Dr. Basner is Director of the Cardiopulmonary Sleep and Ventilatory Disorders Center, Director of the Pulmonary Diagnostic Unit, and pulmonary consultant to the Eleanor and Lou Gehrig MDA/ALS Center at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. His research focuses on the physiology of cardiopulmonary interactions in sleep as well as the physiology of gas exchange in patients with emphysema.
