Biography

Ian Joseph Bishop MD, MPH, received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and completed medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he also completed a Master's of Public Health. He completed his residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami and a Complex Family Planning fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center in New York, NY. He holds dual board certification in both Obstetrics & Gynecology and Complex Family Planning. He currently serves as the Director of Family Planning for the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Miami. His practice focuses on contraception for women with medical comorbidities and abortion care.
