Biography

Michael Blaha, MD, MPH is the Founder and Director of the Johns Hopkins Cardiometabolic Clinic, the Director of Clinical Research at Johns Hopkins Ciccarone Center for the Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease, a Professor of Cardiology, and an attending physician with Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD. He received his MD and MPH from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He completed both his residency in Internal Medicine and his Fellowship in Cardiology at Johns Hopkins. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. His memberships include the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. He is widely published and now serves as a peer reviewer for a multitude of publications, including Atherosclerosis, Circulation, and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
