Chief Executive Officer, Bravo Pediatrics & Consultants Founder of the Pediatric Executive Development System Leesburg, VA Herbert F. Bravo, MD, is chief executive officer of Bravo Pediatrics & Consultants in Leesburg, VA, and founder of the Pediatric Executive Development System, a program that accelerates development of leaders in pediatric entrepreneurship. He is also cofounder and cohost of The Pediatric Lounge podcast. Dr Bravo received his medical degree from the Escuela Autónoma de Ciencias Médicas in San José, Costa Rica. He completed his pediatric internship at Michigan State University Health Sciences in Kalamazoo, MI and his pediatric residency at Rush University Children’s Hospital in Chicago, IL. Dr Bravo’s practice experience includes child and newborn care, as well as the management of pediatric emergencies. He also focuses on the design, marketing, and implementation of innovative healthcare products and services, including practice management and quality improvement strategies. He has participated in leadership classes and seminars for many professional associations, include the American College of Physician Executives. “ER Jr.,” a pediatric emergency-care quality initiative led by Dr Bravo, won awards from the Virginia Public Relations Society, the American Hospital Association, and Sodexho-Marriot Services.
